Lobular Breast Cancer Rates Skyrocketing

The incidence of lobular breast cancer more than doubled between 1987 and 1999, according to a study from the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center in Seattle.

The incidence of invasive ductal carcinoma, which is more common, remained stable during the same time period, and the rate of mixed ductal-lobular carcinoma nearly doubled. Lobular carcinoma is the type of breast cancer most frequently associated with the use of PremPro.
